Aspiring CEO Program Application

The Aspiring CEO Program is designed to identify and prepare future California Community College CEOs through the process of self-assessment and skill development. The nine-month program is scheduled from February to December (no sessions in March, May, and August) with regular cohort check-ins. You should apply if you are exploring the possibility of transitioning into a CEO position at a California Community College. Applications will be accepted now until November 21, 2022, for the 2023 Program Cohort. Notifications will be emailed in early December. 

The program will start on February 21, 2023, with an orientation at the ACCCA Conference. 

Before you begin your application, please be sure to have the following items completed. These items are required with the submission of your application:

  • Resume
  • Letter of Recommendation
  • Personal Profile Form (using this form)
  • Bio
  • Headshot

Payment
The Aspiring CEO Program is $700 with payment due upon program acceptance. Program acceptance letters will be sent out in early December.

To be accepted into the Aspiring CEO Program you must agree to participate in all mandatory activities including: 12 hours of training and a 3-hour workshop at the League’s Annual Convention, self-directed reading assignments, personal inventory and skill assessments, and the completion of a skills development plan.
