The California Community Colleges Trustees (CCCT) held its 2024-25 officer elections at the Annual Trustees Conference in La Jolla, May 3-5. Additionally, the results from the CCCT Board election were revealed, confirming seven incumbent trustees for their new term. 

Officers for 2024-25 are: 

  • President: Nan Gomez-Heitzeberg, Kern CCD 
  • President-Elect: Suzanne Lee Chan, Ohlone CCD 
  • First Vice President: Barbara Dunsheath, North Orange County CCD 
  • Second Vice President: Loren Steck, Monterey Peninsula CCD 

Andra Hoffman will serve as the Immediate Past President, as she concluded her term as CCCT President. 

The seven trustees reelected for service include:  

  • Hortencia Armendariz, Imperial CCD 
  • Barbara Calhoun, Compton CCD 
  • Yvette Davis, Glendale CCD 
  • Nan Gomez-Heitzeberg, Kern CCD 
  • Deborah Ikeda, State Center CCD 
  • Greg Pensa, Allan Hancock CCD 
  • Bernardo Perez, Ventura County CCD 

The California Community College Trustees (CCCT) Board consists of 21 members elected statewide by the 73 district governing boards and a student-member elected by the student trustees. The CCCT Board takes positions on and formulates education policy issues that come before the California Community Colleges Board of Governors, the State Legislature, and other relevant state-level boards and commissions. This policy board provides input to the League Board of Directors to advance the mission and effectively serve the organization's member colleges.
