California Trustees Elected, Re-elected and Appointed to ACCT Leadership Positions

SACRAMENTO, CA – The Community College League of California (League) is pleased to announce the following California trustees newly elected, re-elected, and appointed to leadership positions at the 2018 Association of Community College Trustees (ACCT) Leadership Congress:

  • Meredith Brown, Peralta Community College District: Re-elected to ACCT Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee and appointed its Chair-Elect (Pacific Region)
  • Judy Chen Haggerty, Mt. San Antonio Community College District: Appointed Chair of the ACCT Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee
  • John Leal, State Center Community College District: Elected as Pacific Regional Chair
  • Bernie Rhinerson, San Diego Community College District: Re-elected to ACCT Board of Directors (Pacific Region)

“The California Community Colleges are well represented this year on ACCT’s Board and Committees. These new positions, along with our other ACCT representatives give California a growing presence at the national level,” said Jim Moreno League Board President and Trustee for Coast Community College District. “Please join us in congratulating our national level representatives.”
