2018 Student Trustees Workshop
The new student trustee faces a challenging introduction to the board, the college and the art of trusteeship. This workshop is designed to help student board members become knowledgeable, influential, education policy-makers. It also provides the opportunity to meet and talk with other student trustees from around the state.
Participants will receive the 2018 Trustee Handbook and Effective Student Trustees by Nick Kachiroubas, as well as other information for student trustees.

Registration
- Early Bird Registration: $420 (ends July 20)
- General Registration: $445 (after July 20 registration will increase to $445)

CCCT Board Student Member Election
The California Community College Trustees (CCCT) Board consists of 21 members elected statewide by the 72 district governing boards and one student-member elected by the student trustees. The CCCT Board takes positions on and formulates education policy issues that come before the California Community Colleges Board of Governors and the State Legislature. Nominations for the student member of the CCCT Board must be postmarked on or before, Saturday, July 7, 2018.
Candidate statements and the election of the student member will take place Saturday, August 11, 2018, at 8:30 a.m. Student trustees must be present to be eligible to vote.

San Francisco International Airport (SFO) is approximately 3 miles or 10 minutes from the hotel; Oakland International Airport (OAK) is about 30 minutes from the hotel; and San Jose International Airport (SJC), is approximately 40 minutes from the Hilton San Francisco Bayfront Hotel.
