Greetings on behalf of the Chief Executive Officers of the California Community Colleges (CEOCCC). The time has passed quickly since our time together at the end of February in Solvang at the Annual CEO Symposium. This gathering offered us the opportunity to hear updates from both Accreditation Workgroup I and II, engage in candid discussion, provide feedback to the workgroups, and to confirm that both are heading in positive and broadly accepted directions.
The two workgroups continue to meet and make progress on both the short-term and long-term goals to improve accreditation in our Western region. In fact, both workgroups have met recently and are finalizing detailed reports that we will share with you in coming weeks. In addition, a timeline is evolving for a thoughtful process to provide input for continued improvements of our current accreditor and the exploration of a single accreditor for the Western region. Read more.
